Set amongst the oak trees on Belvedere Island, this historic home hugs the steeply terraced site, embracing the spectacular views of Raccoon Straits, Angel Island and San Francisco Bay. Originally constructed in the late 1800's, the goal of this major renovation was to maintain the charm of the original home while fully modernizing the new residence.

The house harmonizes with the natural beauty of the site while optimizing the breathtaking views. Decks were added on two levels opening up to the outdoors. One of the most striking changes was removing the wall that enclosed the kitchen and opening up the space to the dining room so that it, too, shared a spectacular view of Angel Island.
